Do you know what's no fun? Having regrets. I know

Do you know what's no fun? Having regrets.

I know I like it a whole lot more when I'm going through life certain about my choices and confident in my next steps (whatever they are).

Like anything else, it's a skill that can be honed.

Start by coming back to the purpose.

Remind yourself WHY you are here. What is your desired outcome if you are reaalllly honest with yourself, and step back from any vanity metrics that may be dangling in front of your eyes. Which of these things will help you inch closer to that vision in a way that feels good?

Remember who you are beneath it all.

I'm a big propronent of values-driven business, and that's not just a catchy marketing phrase. That means grounding every single decision in your values - the beliefs, the standards you have for your life and work. Does this thing mesh with everything you say you stand for?

Make peace with the yes and the no
When you say yes to anything in life, you're saying no to something else. When you say yes to answering the phone, you're saying no to that 10 minute meditation you could do with. When you're saying yes to staying home tonight, you're saying no to dealing with draining family members.

There is never a "correct" trade off here, only one that you're ok with.

If I say yes to this, what am I saying no to?

Trust the guidance you're given

Remember that you actually don't need to figure everything out alone. Perhaps you could talk it over with your partner, or closest friend. Maybe you reach out to that coach you hired (it's literally what you're paying them for). OR you could even use a technique or tool to connect you back to your intuition.

My favourite way of doing this (you might have already guessed) is with cards. For me, these are the VERY best tool for getting clear on my next steps, and they have never, ever steered by wrong...

But it does take a bit of know-how, and that's what I'm teaching in this week's masterclass.

Whenever I find myself myself slipping into sulky Sunday mode, I grab my journal and answer one very simple question...

I'm excited to eat the Korean pork I have marinating in the fridge.

I'm excited for my masterminding call with @quiana_lache lache

I'm excited to finish the book I'm reading on healing trauma, and pick up something else from my bookshelf

I'm excited to start using the money oil I've been steeping.

I'm excited for midday baths, and new scented candles, and forest fairy walks, and doing fun training, and signing new clients...

And when that's what I allow myself to feel into, the gloom goes and the good vibes get activated.

Let's talk about the one where I get extra honest about everything that's been going wrong in my business...

But the messages I've had since have made me realise that I need to get over myself.

That more people need to hear this.

That we need to normalise talking about the hard stuff, and not just after we've found "the fix".

This is not what you were supposed to be seeing today.

I created this image to use as a reel cover, for a reel I made ahead of time...

Then PLOT TWIST: I logged onto Instagram yesterday to see that my 80+ drafts had all been deleted.

Gone. Poof. Vanished.

Not the ideal, as I'm sure you can imagine.

But I had a couple of different ways that I could respond to that situation.

I could get all up in my feelings, letting it derail my entire day, spiralling into a mess "but now my content plan is RUINED".

OR

I could see it for what it was - an unexpected occurence with a deeper lesson for me.

I choose to see this incident as me being offered a reset and a refresh.

You see, I batched all of those reels when I was in a very different place mentally, energetically and also in my business. Don't get me wrong, they were decent, and I'd put work into them, but there were representative of a moment when I wasn't really at my best.

Now I get to do things differently.

I get to create with the level of enthusiasm (and magnetism) that I'm currently experiencing.

And I get to trust that those feelings won't "run out".

Because I realised... that's why I'd been batching my reels in the first place. I was so afraid that I'd run out of ideas/motivation/confidence and wouldn't be able to create something when I need it.

BULLSHIT.

I can do anything I want, and I've proved that to myself over and over.

(So have you.)

Just to be clear, this is not me telling you to do everything off the cuff (that can be pretty stressful), or to stop the batching (I love working that way for #yourbizyourrules and the YT channel).

This is me reminding you that when you experience a "plot twist", look deeper. There's something there you're not seeing.

What's with this obsession with "ease"? Listen, I

What's with this obsession with "ease"?

Listen, I get that nobody wants to feel stuck in a perpetual state of struggle - I don't either - but the opposite of that is NOT having everything be totally "easeful".

Alignment is about being in the right place, doing the right thing.

Not because someone told you that's the correct way to go...

Or because your envious ego mind has locked onto what someone else has...

But because you feel it deep down. For some it might be a whisper, for others it will be an unholy screech. But it's that niggle, that nudge, that tells you which way to be going.

The next piece of the puzzle is about getting every part of you on the same path...

Because you can't be in that right place, doing that right thing if your mind, nervous system and emotions are all fighting amongst themselves.

But even when you've done that... Even when you've listened to your intuition and done allll the inner work to ensure your brain and body are playing nicely together...

Stuff will not always feel easy.

Sometimes, you can be making the most aligned moves in the world and it can still feel

a bit new and weird
an uncomfortable stretch
confusing
inexplicable
boring
challenging
scary
and so many other messy realities

That does not mean that you should sack it off because it's "not aligned anymore".

That means that you should arm yourself with the tools, the practices and the support that will help you move through the messy middle.

Creating content is part of the entrepreneurial game. We all know this.

No matter the platform, no matter the vibe, it's one of the most effective ways to attract and charm paying clients.

BUT

Sometimes the content you're "supposed to" create feels kind of MEH.

Like a box ticking exercise that proves you're a good business owner.

Believe me when I say >> that shit is of no use to anyone <<

When you're posting for the sake of it, your people can feel it. They're not dumb. It's clear when there's no heart and no enthusiasm behind your words.

So what's the secret to creating ALIGNED content?

i.e. stuff that feels good to you AND them?

Sync it up to your goals.

That's it.

If you're talking about something that excites and inspires you (a) you'll actually want to show and say the thing and (b) your followers will get swept up in that energy.

Here are a few ideas to help you get started:

📚 Share snippets of what you're learning in that amazing book or next level certification programme.

🧘 Show off some of those habits and practices making you feel so good.

💡 Tell us about random ideas you're considering.

📅 Be explicit about your intentions for this month.

🗨️ Share smart quotes and aha summaries from that epic coaching call you just finished.

✨ Show us a new tool or technique you're experimenting with.

💻 Tell us what you're currently working on.

❓Explain WHY you added each of those elements to that offer.

🧲 Declare what you're open to attracting.

💗 Be honest about what you've been struggling with and how you're trying to work through it.

🍲 Share the mundane things you like to do.

All of these? Might not seem like "new" ideas but... new doesn't always mean better so who cares?!
