"You should be charging more for this" is 2023's v "You should be charging more for this" is 2023's version of "have you lost weight?"

In other words:
Intended as a compliment but really something that triggers a spiral.

Listen, there are times when somebody's feedback on your pricing should be gratefully received...

Like when you ask for it, as an example.

Or when someone has been so delighted by your work together that they take it upon themselves to pay you again...

(Which has happened to me a couple of times)

But if people keep pointing out (after the experience of working with you) that they'd have paid waaaay more...

Feel free to ignore.

Those are words - nice words - but still just words. It is only insight to consider if they're willing to back those words up with action.

The right pricing for your offer will ALWAYS be the number YOU can get behind.

The one that YOU can get behind.

The one that feels accessible for the clients you want to work with *and* like a generous payment for you to receive.

Nobody else's feelings on the matter are relevant.

Obsessing over WHO that next paying client is goin Obsessing over WHO that next paying client is going to be and HOW you’re going to hook them in is a waste of your time and energy.

Here's what I'd recommend to detach from the pressure you're putting on yourself, your audience, and all of your future clients:

Step 1 - do some tapping to release the frustration coming up every time someone doesn't buy your amazing offer.

(There's a free script right there in my reels tab)

Step 2 - remind yourself of these important truths...

You are in business for the long haul. This is the tiniest blip in the lifecycle of your biz.

You never know who's watching and how excited they are for the opportunity to work with you.

You only have control over what YOU do so focus on that and that alone.

Step 3 - explore these questions in your journal:

What would be AMAZING to have happen today?

How can I deepen even further into a state of leadership today?

If I could do anything today - knowing that it would work out for me perfectly - what would I do?

What beliefs, actions, and decisions will support my long-term business growth?

Where *could* my next sale come from?

REMEMBER:
If you start getting attached to ANY thought or outcome, you have the power to disentangle yourself from it and move on.

When you learn to recognise what is right for you and what isn’t, it becomes soooo much easier to move forward and create a life you love (with a business that fulfils you in every way).

It’s easy to get the two concepts confused because they feel exactly like something we don’t what to do... but the flavours are slightly (and significantly) different.

Resistance feels like:

😩Frustration at the thought of having to figure something out

😩Fear of trying something completely new, different, or that “doesn’t make sense”

😩An instinctive need to stick with what’s familiar

😩Consistently avoiding something that you objectively know could help you

😩Activating - like it’s poking an old wound or shining a light on a particular story or pattern

😩An obvious obstacle sitting between you and the thing you want

Misalignment feels like:

😠Knowing that something is wrong without being able to articulate why

😠Silencing your inner voice in favour of someone you consider an authority

😠Complete disinterest

😠Mentally or physically shutting down when you’re pushing yourself (or someone else is pushing you) to do something

😠A conflict between your mind and your gut

😠Going through the motions, possibly followed by some temporary successes, definitely followed by a lot of heaviness

When you find yourself in resistance, use the tools and support you have access to to work right through it.

When you find yourself in misalignment, give yourself permission to let the thing go completely and try a different way.

You're getting confused about what counts as a content pillar and what is actually a brand tool.

YOUR CONTENT PILLARS
The beliefs, ideas, concepts, and stances that uperpin one or all of your paid offers, and make you who you are as a human being.

Examples: Use your voice without filter, personal growth is biz growth, a standard of excellence in business, sustained financial success, holistic health, choose joy first, community impact

YOUR BRAND TOOLS
The methods and modalities you use to help your clients (and yourself) achieve results.

Examples: Hypnotherapy, EFT, astrology, Human Design, tarot, energy healing, coaching, masterminding, strategy, any system or framework you’ve designed yourself

Unless you are certifying someone to use your brand tools for themselves, the bulk of your content should be inspired by and connected to your content pillars.

By all means, sprinkle in references to your tools of choice to anchor in your point of difference, but don't turn your profile into another training manual or text book.

Stop putting so much pressure on saying the "right" thing and just say SOMETHING.

My secret to exceeding client expectations EVERY S My secret to exceeding client expectations EVERY SINGLE TIME:

I always - always - include a personal touch. That’s it. That’s how I do it.

Sometimes that might mean hotseat calls, sometimes it might mean access to a closed community space, sometimes it might mean Voxer support. I have made it a boundary that EVERY offer I put out there has at least one of these - even if it’s something evergreen or self-study.

My personal goal is to have every client who enters my world to leave with way more than they expected.

The training, coaching, and resources I offer allow me to do that already, but the impact is unmatched when I also create space for people to:

✅Get clarification
✅Go deeper into certain concepts
✅Hear more specific examples
✅Feel inspired to make tweaks that work for them
✅Brainstorm with me
✅Troubleshoot their sticking points

This past week alone, some of that “personal touch” has included:

💗 An Instagram profile audit
💗 A pep talk after a distracting breakup
💗 An on-the-fly tapping script
💗 Feedback on how to incorporate a new idea into an upcoming offer
💗 Suggested training to focus on next
💗 How to deal with an urgent need to make money
💗 Discussions on integrity and standards in coaching
💗 Working through limiting beliefs about money and receiving
💗 How to incorporate Human Design into social media in a unique way
💗 Just listening as needed

If I tried to weave all of that into course curriculum it would be a MESS, but touching on it in Voxer enhances what they’re already experiencing by working through one of my programmes.

Some might say that this level of personal access stops my work from being scalable… I say it’s the only thing that keeps it scalable.

A scalable business (by my definition) is not one that sells the faceless masses into my product suite, it’s one that impacts the most amount of people possible.

That personal touch is how we guarantee that impact… and it’s also how we make sure every client will be back for more.

The errors in judgment currently biting me in the The errors in judgment currently biting me in the arse...

1. I let myself get distracted with micro offers instead of focusing my attention on filling my 8-week minimind.

I August, I created two new gems:
Batch Like a Bitch and Power Posts. 

I was really excited about both of them and put a lot of energy into promoting them, which resulted in dozens of sales (yay!)

But in doing so, it’s like I gave myself permission to work on smaller offers I’m extremely comfortable with, instead of the thing I knew my clients *really* needed but would stretch me to my edges (i.e. the minimind).

This was probably a fear thing. I was scared to go all in with the minimind because:
❌ I’ve never created something in this format before and the unknown is scary.
❌ If all my attention goes on one offer, all my income is riding on that thing, which can feel a bit risky.
❌ With the level of intimacy in that client container there would be nowhere for me to hide - I’d have to let people see the full me at every point

I let this fear get the better of me and it resulted in zero sales. No surprises there.

2. I overworked myself to the point of total physical breakdown

I have a lot of big ideas for my business and in August, I let myself get swept up in the pressure to get it all done NOW…

Call it excitement, call it self-sabotage, call it impatience, call it whatever you want… All I know is that it resulted in:
😬 Consistent 10hr days
😬 Minimal breaks
😬 Racing thoughts and anxiety
😬 Sleepless nights

Which resulted in my getting sick in a big way.

Again, it came down to fear.
😱 Fear I wouldn’t have the time to do everything I want
😱 Fear I can’t keep up
😱 Fear I’m not good enough as I am
😱 Fear I’ll never “make it”
😱 Fear that my energy will run out before I get it all done

All of this contributed to me not making a single minimind sale by the start date.

I KNOW BETTER THAN TO KEEP DOING THIS SHIT. 

Here's what I've decided to do:

Get real with myself and with you guys about what’s been going on then recommit to the minimind.

So I'm fully rewinding my Captivate launch and starting over. Today pre-presale pricing is back and we're just gonna try this thing again.
