Like God forbid we own that we're passionate about something, or experiencing a significant human emotion, or we're THE ACTUAL EXPERT IN THE ROOM. I don't know if it's the swirl of "girlhood is everything" and inner child healing coursing through my veins since seeing Queen Hilary live last night but... Screw it. From now on it's: Full offence - I'm going to have my perspective and not worry that you're going to assume it's a personal attack. "Drama" - which, let's face it, is just synonymous with self-expression. Remembering that if I have something that can help someone, I'm just going to share it and not spiral about how annoying I must be for telling people something they might already know. I mean... Why not? Not overthinking every thought and feeling is LIBERATING. Think of all the unhinged magic that could happen with all that extra headspace 😘

A lot of people will just say 'yeah, you're too attached', 'you've just got to do this', 'you've just got to get in the right energy' and sometimes you're like yeah, I get it, but it doesn't feel like I fucking can right now. And what I find with you is that you don't dismiss us. Don't get me wrong, there are times when we need that kick up the ass, you've done it to me before and I loved it, but you also know when we need more than that. You've just done it for me and you've done it for [redacted]. That's what makes you different. You don't give us the usual party line, the usual bullshit that's out there. Some days it is hard, and sometimes you need a safe space to vent and also be validated in your experience. It's refreshing to hear it's ok to feel shit before we start talking about what to do about it." There was more, but we have a character limit here 😉 I'm not sharing this as a brag. I'm sharing this as a REMINDER. When you're selling your work it's easy to get caught up in the system you're going to teach and the results you're going to facilitate, but do you know what else is *incredibly* important, especially if you're speaking to clients who have been around the block with investing in themselves? THE EXPERIENCE. The kind of space you hold. How people will feel with you in their corner. How you see people through the ups and downs. How you navigate working with a client who isn't getting results right away. The different versions of you they get, depending on what they need. That right there makes a HUGE difference and, let's be real, it's the piece that doesn't get brought up enough. Your unfair advantage isn't just a pithy tagline. It's the intangible and occasionally unhinged quality you bring to every client interaction. Own it.
