A few months ago, I decided I wanted to shake up the way I stay in touch with my list.

Previously, everyone received an email on a Monday that was part of an evergreen email sequence, and an email on a Thursday, promoting the latest episode of this podcast. Great in theory (because I could be very hands off) but as a creator, it wasn’t much fun… and I always think that comes across when people are reading our stuff.

So I decided to put together a new Thursday newsletter that was part online magazine, part personal update, and part round-up of important info. I have to say, it’s been great. Every single week I receive responses to what I send out AND I get a whole bunch of Instagram comments and DMs with people telling me how much they love it.

So what’s the secret to creating a cracking newsletter that converts i.e. is more than just a fun thing?

To create your own next-level newsletter…

💛  First up, think of a tagline that shows WHO your newsletter is for, in a way that makes your people feel part of something.

💛  Next, think of all the things that people like to talk to you about or things that they come to you for.

💛  Then, think of what YOU want to communicate with your people. The goal is to sandwich these sections together so that there’s a benefit for you as the creator and them as the consumer.

💛  Give it a name (mine’s Warrior Vibes)

💛 My final tip is to create a consistent design for your newsletter. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but make it something recognisable. I’ve created colourful titles for each section of Warrior Vibes and people seem to love it.
