This episode kicks off a three-part mini-series with the indomitable Alex Rudnicka of CEO Female Entrepreneur.
Today’s show is all about the curse of people-pleasing which I know I (and a lot of you guys) suffer from.
*Or have suffered from, if you’re one of the lucky ones in recovery!
The key takeaways:
💛 On being visible: No one gets a free pass on doing the work. “I’m an introvert” is not a get out of jail free card. Conquer your fears and get out there.
💛 The underlying reason behind people-pleasing is usually fear.
💛 You can’t set boundaries for others before you get your self-love in order, otherwise, you’ll be the one crossing them all the time.
💛 More often than not the “problem” with your business is not your niche, business model or anything else external. You have to look in the mirror rather than looking at the different concepts of your business.

When you just starting out you really need to understand that making money in the beginning, it’s everything. It’s more important than anything else.
Here is a rude wake-up call: you can’t have the business if you don’t exchange money (which is called selling).
It’s very easy to be like, “Oh, look, these are going to be my boundaries. Look at them. Aren’t they nice?” But then actually living them, and sticking to them, and catching yourself before you cross them yourself, that’s the tricky part.
Give yourself full permission to not fit in. Give yourself permission to be that weird person
