This episode was an interesting one for me to record as it was one I was kind of dreading (if we’re going to be honest about things). You see, for me, LinkedIn just reminded me of the corporate career I left behind me. It reminded me of a world filled with rule followers, a world filled with politics, a world filled with bullshit if we’re going to go back to that whole honesty thing.
HOWEVER, after chatting with Helen, I’ve had a change of heart. I decided to jump into her LinkedIn bootcamp (which I completed over a Friday night and a glass of red) and it completely transformed the way I look at the platform.
Now I see the possibility. I see the crowds of inspired, interesting entrepreneurial types just waiting for me.

The key takeaways:
💛 Your LinkedIn account doesn’t have to reflect an old life, it can evolve with you.
💛 If you love making money and hate doing too much work, LinkedIn is the one for you.
💛 The “work” takes place before you even log on. Once you’ve identified WHAT you want to sell and WHO you want to sell it to, it’s about implementing insanely simple daily activities.
💛 Reframe your profile so that it’s about your ideal audience and what they’re looking for, rather than having an incredibly long, boring career history. That’s not what people care about. They want to know how you can help THEM… so put that very crucial info right in your headline.
💛 The most important thing about publishing content on LinkedIn is CONSISTENCY. And, y’know, reminding people how they can buy from you.
💛 Don’t hang around in certain Facebook groups when you’ve had more than two wines.

LinkedIn is the definitely the least exciting social media platform, however, it’s the only platform that is built strictly around business. Over the last few months, LinkedIn has introduced video features into LinkedIn to encourage better engagement with each other.
We all know that we must be on LinkedIn but we don’t realize that everyone on LinkedIn is looking for business, clients or solutions.
